Any lendable equipment must be returned to the same facility it was borrowed from.
Equipment must be returned on the same day that it was borrowed.
If the building is closed before the user can return the equipment, the users are responsible for returning the equipment as soon as possible to avoid a late charge. Leaving the equipment in front of the building does NOT qualify as “returned”.
If equipment is lost or no longer can be returned a charge is incurred on their account. If UVA Rec staff can’t locate it, the burden of proof falls on the person who rented out the equipment.
Any lost, unreturned or damaged equipment may incur a charge to the user’s account.
UVA Rec reserves the right to deny rental requests to individuals or groups that fail to adhere to these policies.
