Memorial Gymnasium Project
The University's oldest recreation center will begin renovations. Please see below for the timeline and some of the project details.
Project Scope
Renovations include updates to central plumbing, heating, air conditioning, restroom improvement and fitness room improvements.
Surrounding Recreation
Outdoor venues (Snyder Tennis Courts, Nameless Sand Volleyball Courts, Outdoor Basketball Courts) remain open during renovations.
Outdoor equipment lending will be available at Lady Astor Tennis Pavilion during renovations.

Carr's Hill Field
Project Timeline
- Carr's Hill Field is open for reservations and drop-in play.
Project Scope
We have improved the field, fence, lights and scoreboard.
- Improved field and overall stormwater drainage system
- Replacement of artificial field turf with expanded competition lines
- Replacement fencing with upgraded Omega Field Fence, which enhanced durability, aesthetics, and a consistent 10’ perimeter height
- Replaced and upgraded field and egress lights to LED with enhanced light level control system
- Widened perimeter walking path
- Added paver area for improved bike rack
- Added paver seating area with a bench and water fountain
- Added water bottle refill fountain at the Pavilion
- Added paver platform area for marching band lift
- Replacement scoreboard (end of September)
