Aquatic Use

  • Patrons with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, seizures, pregnancy, or any other pre-existing medical condition that may be aggravated by use of the sauna, hot tub, or exertion of energy due to exercise should use extreme caution. Please consult with your physician with regards to participation in aquatic spaces if you have any pre-existing medical condition prior to use or participation at the AFC and NGRC pool, hot tub or sauna.  
  • Avoid consumption of food or alcoholic beverages before using the pool, hot tub and sauna. 
  • Users having any considerable areas of exposed sub-skin tissue, open blisters, cuts, sunburn, etc. are warned that these are likely to become infected. Upon experiencing any nausea, dizziness, hot flashes or cold chills, headaches, or other discomfort, leave the pool, sauna, or hot tub at once.
  • Swim attire is required for use in the pool, warm water pool, hot tub, or sauna. Cutoffs, gym shorts, dress shorts and T-shirts are prohibited.

  • Food and glass are prohibited in the aquatic area. Only plastic, resealable drink containers are permitted in aquatic area.
  • Diving is prohibited in water depth less than 5 feet. Please see tile depth marking on deck for reference.
  • Personal water toys and rafts are prohibited.
  • SCUBA is not allowed without the presence of an approved instructor.
  • Standing or kneeling on kickboards is prohibited.
  • Hanging on lane lines is prohibited.
  • Participants are not permitted on bulkheads
  • Hot tub users must be 18 years of age or older, youth not permitted at this time.
  • Sauna users must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Use of the hot tub and sauna is limited to 15 minutes or less due to the fatiguing effects of prolonged use.
  • Kickboards or flotation devices are prohibited in the hot tub.
  • Excess clothing such as a rubberized suit is prohibited in the sauna.
  • Participants are required to sit on a towel when using the sauna.
  • AFC & NGRC saunas are dry saunas. Pouring water on the electric coals is prohibited.
